Certificate in Dental Sciences (CDS) 


The Government of Nepal has called for the provision of basic health service to all by establishing a network of health services in remote and urban areas.

In this regard the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) has been contributing towards the development of different level of health personnel. In the field of dental health, CTEVT has planned to produce middle level dental service providers in the form of Dental Hygienist. The Council will award "Certificate in Dental Science (Dental Hygiene)" to those candidates who successfully complete the requirements as prescribed by this curriculum. The Certificate in Dental Science (Dental Hygiene) graduates will be able to work as Dental Hygienist in the hospital and clinical settings under the supervision of the Dental Surgeon and also will be able to in the community. 


PCL, Diagnostics Radiography 

The Government of Nepal has called for the provision of basic health service to all by establishing a network of health services in all over Nepal.

In this regard, the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) has been contributing towards the development of different level of health personnel. In the field of Radiography and imaging, CTEVT has been running a program to produce middle level radiography and imaging service providers. The Certificate in Diagnostic Radiography graduates will be able to perform routine works related to technology in different level of hospitals, health institutions and imaging centers. This program is of three academic years' duration. The first year course focuses on basic science and foundational subjects, the second year course focuses on basic radiography and imaging related subjects and the third year is given to the application of learned skills and knowledge within the comprehensive practical settings in hospitals, health institutions and imaging center recognized by the ministry of health and population or concerned authority. 


Diploma in Pharmacy : 

The Government of Nepal (GON) is committed to bringing about tangible changes in access and utilization of Essential Health Care Services (EHCS),

thereby improving the health status of the Nepalese population through health sector development process. Access to health care facilities continues to be a problem in rural areas as well as urban areas, especially for the most disadvantaged. Nepal's health policy and strategy documents over the past several decades repeatedly identify issues regard-ing the deployment and retention of health sector human resource as a major problem that our country is facing. The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) has been contributing towards the development of different middle level of health human resource. In this connection, CTEVT is producing Diploma in Pharmacy professional -as middle level pharmaceutical service providers. The CTEVT will award certificate of "Diploma in Pharmacy" to the candidates who successfully complete the requirements as prescribed by the council. The Diploma in Pharmacy professional will be able to work as Pharmacy Assistant in the Community Pharma-cy, Hospitals and other Pharmaceutical services providing sites. Mission of the Curriculum to provide the document which direct CTEVT schools and faculty in the process of educating quality middle level pharmacy human resource to meet the requirements of pharmaceutical services in Nepal and abroad. 


Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology : 

This course is based on the academic requirements to enter into bachelor level health sciences as well as able to provide diagnostic laboratory services as a middle level human health resource.

After completion of the course the graduate is expected to perform laboratory procedures as per assigned by Nepal Health Professional council independently at different level health institutions in Nepal and abroad. The program is three academic years' duration. The first year course focuses on basic science and foundational subjects, the second year course focuses on basic laboratory subject theory/practical simultaneously and the third year is given to the application of learned skills and knowledge within the comprehensive practical settings, in hospitals and medical laboratory. The course aims to produce middle level medical laboratory technology personnel with sound academic knowledge equipped with perfect technical skills that can face real life situation at the level they are aimed at. The course enables students to Perform routine and special laboratory inves-tigations the results and explain underlying pr samples independently.  on clinical and non-clinical sam investigation. Prepare reagents required for rouitiiinceiples In each investigations. Set up clinical laboratory in pill te'm and special and district level. Practice quality control, health centre in medical laboratory to deliver quality laboratory service. Perform middle level laboratory management works, supervision of subordinates and preparation of reports. Assist in research works.
